how it works
01. decide on the subject matter
If you like a piece I have already sold, I will not duplicate a painting, but I am more than happy to make something similar! Let me know which completed paintings you like the most and why. This helps me understand your preferences.
Send me a well-lit photograph as a reference. For example if you want a painting of your horse, dog, wedding bouquet… etc., send me one or two in an email and I will work from those as I paint.
Note: “post-wedding paintings” compiled from several photographs often cost more as a result of the extra time and detail required.
02. choose a size
Pricing for commissions varies due to the extra time it takes to meet the client’s specific desires.
I would be happy to discuss pricing structure and size. The size options are below, and my starting price is $1300. The pricing goes up depending on level of detail and the time required to paint, as well as shipping costs.
As soon as the above are finalized, payment is discussed individually and an initial 50% deposit is paid up front. The final payment is due upon completion of the painting.
Depending on my schedule and the number of commissions on my list, completion can be anywhere from one week to several weeks. I will work with you and find a deadline that works for both of us.
